Craps Instructions
The object of Craps is to roll a 7 or 11 with the dice on the first roll.

The game starts with the first roll, which is known as the come out roll. Each player at the table gets a turn at being the shooter, or the person rolling the dice. This goes clockwise around the table.

  • If the come out roll is 7 or 11, the shooter wins. He loses if he gets craps, which is 2,3 or 12.
  • The numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10 are point numbers. If the shooter rolls the same point again before getting a 7, he wins.

When a point is established, a puck is placed over that number on the table, white side up.

If the shooter gets the point or rolls a 7, the puck is moved over the 12 with the black side facing up.

When the shooter loses, the dice are passed to the next person on the left.

Pass line bets are the most common and simplistic form of betting in craps. This bet is made before the come out roll and pays even money if the shooter gets 7 or 11 or rolls the same point again.

After the point is established, you can up your line bet by taking odds that the same point will be rolled again. When you take the odds, you will win more than you bet.
